Scummvm data files error5/1/2024 ![]() Most games require at least some MBs and installer/interpreter are less than 150 KB. For other games see the Where to get the games page on our wiki. Some games are available for free on our Game downloads page. To play one of the game listed on this page you will need to have your own copy of the game and add it to ScummVM. When people say 'ScummVM isnt an emulator', what they usually mean is that ScummVM replaces the original executable. You may of course remove the original installer and interpreter, but it won't save you much space. Note: ScummVM does not include any games. In the case of The Dark Eye, you will also need the files created by the installer. My Neverhood CD has a folder called DATA that contains seven files named a.blb, c.blb, hd.blb, i.blb, m.blb, s.blb and t.blb. And like MusicallyInspired already said - demos can get deleted as well.Īnyway like i said - regular game directories should be better left as-is. If there is a VFW or WINVIDEO subdirectory (video for windows), that may go too. Try copying the data files from CD to your hard disk, and running them from there. The interviews and extra content may get deleted of course. ![]() Most collections also got interview AVI movies, keep in mind that some SCI games actually play AVI videos, so you should not delete every AVI video you find. If there is an INN or TSN subdirectory (Sierra Network), you may delete those completely. If you got collections, you should just copy over the actual game directories (including most of the time all sub directories). Beneath a Steel Sky uses a variant of Revolutions virtual theatre engine. Just thought it would be easy to give a list for this game because I deleted the unnecessary files for all the other games (non SCI) which run in ScummVM according to the datafiles wiki page. Beneath a Steel Sky Windows installer (installs ScummVM + BASS data files) Available for download from the ScummVM Downloads page.
